#HangSeng Index extends loss to more than 1.2% to drop below 29,000 mark.
Hang Seng Tech Index is down nearly 1.8%. Tech heavyweights are sliding, with Alibaba down 1.9%, Tencent down 1.5% and Meituan down 2.8%.
