On July 20, Zhengzhou had an extremely heavy rain. The precipitation in some areas exceeded 400 mm in a short period of time. The water level of many rivers rose rapidly, and many reservoirs exceeded the flood limit. The accumulation of water in many areas of the city was serious, and damaged people’s property. From 17:00 of the same day, the Zhengzhou Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters upgraded the emergency response of level II to level I.
As of 21:00 on July 20, Ping An Property & Casualty Henan Branch received a total of 8,500 reports in this rainstorm, including 8,365 auto insurance reports and 135 property insurance cases. In the future, Ping An Property & Casualty Henan Branch will pay close attention to the disaster situation and make every effort to implement post-disaster claims settlement. As of 20:00 on July 20, affected by heavy rain, China Pacific Insurance Henan Branch received a total of 2,740 disaster reports, of which 2,692 were auto insurance, and 48 were non-auto insurance.
