Disney used to hold the digital rights for the Indian Premier League, but Viacom has won the digital rights for the 2023-27 broadcast cycle.

As IPL was, by far, the biggest product on Disney+ in India, they're expected to lose 20 million (40%) of their 50 million subscriber base (more than 1/3rd of their worldwide subscribers) from next year onwards.
