Market Update: European Stocks Set to Open Higher
European futures edged up on Tuesday, tracking gains in the Asia-Pacific region and on Wall Street overnight and as investors continue to focus on the reopening and economic growth. On the data front, the German economy shrank 1.8 percent on quarter in the first three months of 2021, slightly more than preliminary estimates of a 1.7 percent drop. The Ifo Business Climate for Germany will also be in the spotlight early in the morning. It will be the first trading day for German shares as the DAX 30 was closed on Monday for the Whit Monday.
