Market Update: Norway Consumer Morale Highest in 5 Quarters
Norway’s consumer confidence indicator increased to 2.5 in the second quarter of 2021 from a revised -3.2 in the previous month. It was the strongest reading since the first quarter of 2020 and the first time moved into positive territory in 5 quarters. The gauge measuring expectations towards the country’s economy next year strengthened sharply (36.8 vs 12.5 in Q1), while the willingness to make large purchases also improved sharply (2.6 vs 1.5).
