Market Update: Eurozone Construction Output Grows at Record Pace
Construction output in the Euro Area jumped 42.3 percent in April 2021, following an upwardly revised 20 percent rise in March, largely due to a low base year effect as construction activity shrank at a record pace a year ago when the effects of the pandemic crisis started to be felt. That was the strongest increase in construction output since available records began in January of 1996, as building activity climbed by 43.7 percent and civil engineering works jumped by 30.4 percent.
