Market Update: Russia Producer Inflation at Record High of 35.3% YoY in May
Producer prices in Russia jumped 35.3 percent year-on-year in May of 2021, accelerating from a 27.6 percent rise in the previous month. It was the biggest increase in producer prices since series began in 2005, with upward pressure coming from manufacturing (25.6 percent); extraction of raw materials (9.9 percent); electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning (5.3 percent) and water supply (3.8 percent).
