Market Update: Austria Jobless Rate Falls to Near 2-Year Low
The unemployment rate in Austria fell to 6.7 percent in July of 2021 from 9.2 percent in the corresponding month of the previous year. It was the lowest jobless rate in the country since September of 2019, amid the ongoing economic recovery from the pandemic crisis and helped by the lifting of restrictions. The number of people registered as unemployed declined by 101,266 to 282,685, the lowest figure since September of 2019.
