Market Update: Mexico Business Morale Moderates Further in August
The seasonally adjusted manufacturing confidence index in Mexico inched down to 51.4 in August of 2021 from a downwardly revised 51.5 in the prior month, amid a moderation in business environment conditions. It was the lowest reading in three months, as manufacturers were less optimistic regarding current investments (37.1 from 38.4 in July) and their businesses future financial situation (60.2 from 61.0). There was a slight deterioration in the current assessment of the country’s situation (49.4 from 49.7).
