“Yellow Company, a prominent player in US cargo transportation, has filed for bankruptcy due to a combination of increasing credit crisis and a significant decline in trade. The company, established for nearly a century, has ceased operations and is laying off 30,000 employees, including 22,000 truckers. Adding to the predicament, Yellow Company’s debts amount to $1.5 billion, out of which $730 million was provided as federal aid during the pandemic in exchange for a 30% stake in the business.”
