Over the last two Consumer Price Index reports, inflation was largely caused by previously used cards in the US. However, this trend is expected to change in the coming months. The data officially reported is behind the wholesale data by approximately two months, and a rebound followed by a decline can be observed.

According to the most recent information, there has been a 3.2% decline in the first half of June when compared to the previous month of May. As a result, the index has dropped to a level that is 9.4% lower than it was in June of the prior year.
