Market Update: Spain Producer Prices Rise the Most since 1984
Spain’s producer price inflation soared 12.8 percent year-on-year in April of 2021, accelerating from an upwardly revised 6.4 percent rise in March. It was the biggest rise in producer prices since June 1984, as cost advanced faster for energy (33.1 percent vs 12.5 percent in March); intermediate goods (9.9 percent vs 7.5 percent); consumer goods (2.9 percent vs 1.7 percent) and capital goods (1.6 percent vs 1.3 percent).
