Market Update: Canadian Shares Retreat from Records
The Canadian S&P/TSX ended 0.2% lower at 19941 on Thursday, retreating from a record high in the previous session, mainly dragged down by material shares after gold prices sank 2%. Energy stocks were little changed as oil steadied. On the pandemic front, Ontario health authorities were mulling taking the first step of the reopening plan ahead of its initial deadline on June 14th.
