Market Update: Italy Current Account Balance Swings to Surplus
Italy posted a current account surplus of EUR 6654 million in April of 2021, compared to a EUR 1992 million deficit in the corresponding month of the previous year. The goods account recorded a EUR 7338 million surplus, shifting from a EUR 85 million gap a year earlier and the services shortfall narrowed to EUR 652 million from EUR 1006 million.
