Market Update: Rwanda May Inflation Rate Hits 2-Year Low
The annual inflation rate in Rwanda decelerated sharply to 0.4 percent in May of 2021 from 2.7 percent in the prior month, reaching its lowest level since May of 2019. Prices fell for transport (-15.5 percent vs 2.3 percent in April) and food & non-alcoholic beverages (-1% vs 0.4%), on account of bread & cereals (-6.7%) and vegetables (-6.5%).
