Market Update: Slovakia Current Account Deficit Narrows in April
Slovakias current account deficit narrowed to EUR 77.0 million in April of 2021, from EUR 726.4 million in the corresponding month of the previous year. The goods trade account switched to an EUR 81.3 million surplus from a EUR 641.8 million deficit a year earlier, while the services surplus decreased to EUR 42.3 million, from EUR 78.5 million. At the same time, the primary income deficit shrank to 147.1 million, from a previous EUR 149.6 million, while the secondary income deficit widened to EUR 53.5 million, from EUR 13.4 million. source: National Bank of Slovakia [/s2If]
