Market Update: NZX Rises Above 12,700
New Zealands main stock opened Wednesdays session higher, with the benchmark NZX 50 climbing above the 12,700-level boosted by gains in consumer staples and financials stocks. Investors have mostly shrugged off coronavirus fears to focus on prospects of a solid global economic recovery and continued support from central banks.
