Chinese A-shares open higher on the first trading day after the Lunar New Year holiday.
The Shanghai Composite opens 1.8% up at 3,721, jumping above 3,700 for the first time in over five years.
The Shenzhen Component opens 2% up and the tech-heavy Chinext price index is 1.8% up.
