Market Update: Finnish Consumer Confidence Strongest Since 2017
The Finnish consumer confidence indicator increased to 6.0 in September of 2021 from 4.0 in the previous month, reaching the highest reading since December 2017, as expectations regarding Finland’s economy in 12 months strengthened sharply (10.6 vs 4.0 in August). Also, consumers views on the economy improved (9.5 vs 9.3), while intentions to spend money on durable goods in the next 12 months less negative (-7.5 vs -8.8).
