Market Update: Malta Jobless Rate Falls to 3.5% in Q2
The unemployment rate in Malta dropped to 3.5 percent in the second quarter of 2021 from an upwardly revised 4.6 percent in the corresponding period of the previous year. The number of unemployed fell by 2,745 to 9,676 and the number of employed increased by 8,317 to 266,553. Also, the activity rate edged up to 77.2 percent from 76.2 percent and the employment rate increased to 74.4 percent from 72.7 percent. source: National Statistics Office, Malta [/s2If]
