Tesla of the skies - Archer Aviation
Electric aircraft manufacturer Archer Aviation just announced going public though a SPAC merger with ACIC.
They also announced a $1 billion aircraft order and additional investment in them through United Airlines. How's that for a vote of confidence?!
Market cap of the SPAC is still under $1 billion, but it values the company around 3.8 billion.
Archer currently makes small "electric vertical takeoff" aircraft, but apparently the partnership with UAL will also be to develop battery powered shorthaul aircraft. (I'm assuming bigger than the current ones?)
