Market Update: New Zealand Tourist Arrivals Surge in April
Overseas visitor arrivals to New Zealand surged 1755.4% year-on-year to 31,931 in April of 2021, the highest number since March 2020. Two-way quarantine-free travel opened with Australia on 19 April 2021 and with the Cook Islands on 17 May 2021. The biggest changes were in arrivals from Australia (up 27,100), Cook Islands (up 600), the United States (up 300) and the United Kingdom (up 200).
