Market Update: Ireland Q2 Construction Output Growth Highest Since 2004
Irelands construction output surged 26.3 percent from a year earlier in the second quarter of 2021 following a revised 31.3 percent fall in the previous three-month period. It was the strongest growth in construction output since the second quarter of 2004, as output rebounded at an accelerated pace in all sectors: civil engineering (85 percent vs -26.1 percent in Q1); residential (43.6 percent vs -53.1 percent); and non-residential (19.1 percent vs -27.2 percent).
