Competition in the retail sector in #Austria is apparently much lower than in #Germany. Here in Austria, Spar and Rewe (Billa, Merkur) dominate the market. Even the local Red Bull costs 1.49€ vs 1.19€ in Germany, so 25% more in the Austrian supermarket than in Germany. h/t Holger Zschaepitz
