Goldman Sachs reaffirmed its forecast for the S&P500 to increase to 4,500 by the end of 2023 and to reach 4,700 within the next year, according to a message released on Wednesday.

Goldman Sachs does include a caveat, though. The analysts at the company recognize that there are some portfolio managers who anticipate the beginning of a recession within the next year. Even though Goldman Sachs economists consider the likelihood of this occurrence to be 25%, the analysts do suggest five reasons to consider implementing safeguards against potential negative outcomes.
