The European Central Bank reports a historically significant decline in loan demand, exceeding banks' previous expectations. Small and medium-sized enterprises experience the strongest decrease at -40%, while long-term loans see a record-breaking decline of -46%. Demand for short-term loans also drops significantly, approaching levels seen during the global financial crisis.
